Key Responsibilities

Guest Greeting & Seating: Welcome guests warmly upon arrival, escort them to their tables, present food and beverage menus, and inform them of daily specials or promotions.

Order Taking: Answer guest questions regarding ingredients, menu preparations, potential food allergies, and beverage pairings; take accurate orders and enter them promptly into the Point of Sale (POS) system.

Food & Beverage Service: Serve food and drinks from the kitchen/bar to guest tables efficiently, following proper service etiquette and safety standards.

Table Maintenance: Monitor guest needs throughout the meal, check in on satisfaction, pre-bus tables by removing used dishes and cutlery, and refill water or beverages.

Billing & Payments: Prepare and present accurate guest bills, handle cash/card/digital payments, process transactions through the POS terminal, and provide change or receipts.

Side Work & Sanitation: Set up dining areas before service, polish glassware/cutlery, restock condiment stations, reset tables for new guests, and perform closing cleanup duties.

Requirements & Qualifications

Education: High school diploma or equivalent (diploma in Hotel Management or Hospitality is a plus).

Experience: Prior experience as a server, waiter/waitress, or hospitality team member in a restaurant, hotel, or cafe (freshers with good communication skills can be trained).

Communication Skills: Clear verbal communication, active listening, and polite customer engagement.

Technical Skills: Basic numerical ability to handle payments and cash; familiarity with POS systems (e.g., Petpooja, POSist, Toast) is preferred.

Physical Requirements: Ability to stand, walk, and carry food trays weighing up to 10–15 kg for long periods during busy service shifts.

Personal Attributes: Punctual, neat personal grooming, ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment, and a strong teamwork attitude.
