Lab Assistant

Assist technicians and laboratory professionals with routine laboratory activities.

Collect, label, receive, and properly store samples according to SOPs.

Prepare samples, reagents, solutions, and laboratory materials as instructed.

Operate basic laboratory equipment after appropriate training.

Clean and maintain laboratory instruments, glassware, workstations, and equipment.

Maintain laboratory records, registers, logbooks, and test-related documentation.

Assist with routine testing and sample processing under supervision.

Monitor and maintain laboratory stock, reagents, chemicals, and consumables.

Follow SOPs, GLP, GMP, safety, and infection-control procedures.

Properly segregate and dispose of laboratory waste according to applicable procedures.

Report equipment problems, sample issues, spills, or safety concerns to the supervisor.

Support laboratory quality-control activities and audits when required.

Maintain confidentiality of patient and laboratory information.
