Kitchen Assistant

Assist chefs and cooks with basic food preparation, including washing, peeling, and chopping ingredients. Clean and sanitize kitchen equipment, utensils, countertops, and work areas. Maintain cleanliness and hygiene according to food safety standards. Wash dishes, pots, pans, and other kitchen utensils. Store food ingredients properly and check freshness and expiry dates. Receive, organize, and replenish kitchen supplies. Assist with food portioning, plating, and serving when required. Dispose of kitchen waste according to hygiene procedures. Follow food safety, health, and workplace safety guidelines. Maintain kitchen tools and equipment in good condition. Report shortages, damaged equipment, or food safety concerns to the supervisor. Support chefs and other kitchen staff during busy service periods.
