Clinical Biochemist

Perform biochemical analysis of blood, urine, serum, plasma, and other clinical samples.

Conduct tests for glucose, liver function, kidney function, lipid profile, electrolytes, enzymes, proteins, and other biochemical parameters.

Operate and monitor automated and semi-automated laboratory analyzers.

Prepare reagents, calibrators, controls, and test samples according to SOPs.

Review and validate test results before reporting, according to laboratory procedures.

Identify abnormal, critical, or inconsistent results and initiate appropriate verification procedures.

Perform and monitor Internal Quality Control (IQC) and participate in External Quality Assessment (EQA) programs.

Maintain laboratory equipment, calibration records, maintenance logs, and analytical documentation.

Investigate out-of-range results, analytical errors, and quality-control failures.

Follow GLP, laboratory safety, infection-control, and quality-management procedures.

Maintain accurate patient reports, worksheets, registers, and laboratory records.

Support method validation, verification, and implementation of new testing procedures.

Coordinate with doctors, laboratory technicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals when required.

Participate in laboratory audits, inspections, and quality-improvement activities.

Train junior laboratory staff and technicians on relevant procedures and equipment.
