The manufacturing in Agartala isn’t heavy industry and people online are forthright about it. The real base is agro-processing, bamboo, rubber and food units, as Tripura is the second largest natural rubber producer in India. Which determines what is on offer:
Average jobs: machine operators, manufacturing assistants, packagers, quality inspectors, line supervisors.
Where the work is: Smaller units on the outskirts of the city and along the Bangladesh trade corridor.
Pay Entry level jobs commonly pay ₹10,000-₹20,000 a month. Supervisors and QC staff with a diploma earn more.
Best route in: ITI trades like fitter, welder, machinist open most doors.
Many personnel after gaining experience go to bigger plants in Guwahati. If you want to keep it local, see if the rubber and bamboo units and food firms will sell to you directly. Walk-ins work here and a clean ITI certificate is better than a beautiful resume.
