Site Safety Officer

Implement and monitor site health and safety policies and procedures.

Conduct regular site inspections to identify hazards and unsafe practices.

Ensure employees and contractors follow required safety procedures and use appropriate PPE.

Conduct safety inductions, toolbox talks, and safety training sessions.

Monitor safe operation of machinery, tools, vehicles, and equipment.

Investigate accidents, incidents, near misses, and unsafe conditions.

Prepare incident reports and recommend corrective and preventive actions.

Maintain safety records, inspection reports, permits, and other documentation.

Ensure proper placement and maintenance of safety signs, barricades, and emergency equipment.

Monitor work activities such as excavation, lifting, working at height, electrical work, and confined-space operations as applicable.

Coordinate emergency response procedures and participate in emergency drills.

Ensure first-aid facilities and fire-safety equipment are available and accessible.

Coordinate with site supervisors, engineers, contractors, and management regarding safety matters.

Stop or report unsafe work practices when necessary and ensure corrective action is taken.

Assist with risk assessments and preparation of Job Safety Analysis (JSA)/method statements.

Monitor compliance with applicable occupational health and safety requirements.

Conduct safety meetings and promote safety awareness across the site.

Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly safety reports.

Perform other duties assigned by the Safety Manager or Site Manager.
