Job Description
Diagnose and treat acute and chronic kidney diseases.
Evaluate patients with hypertension, electrolyte disorders, and kidney-related complications.
Manage patients with chronic kidney disease and renal failure.
Provide care for patients undergoing hemodialysis and peritoneal dialysis.
Assess patients for kidney transplantation and provide pre- and post-transplant care as required.
Order and interpret laboratory tests, imaging studies, and other diagnostic procedures.
Develop individualized treatment and management plans.
Monitor patients' progress and adjust treatment plans when necessary.
Perform or assist with nephrology-related procedures as per qualifications and hospital protocols.
Educate patients and their families about kidney health, treatment options, diet, and lifestyle modifications.
Maintain accurate and confidential patient medical records.
Collaborate with physicians, nurses, dietitians, and other healthcare professionals.
Participate in emergency care for acute kidney injury and other renal emergencies.
Stay updated on developments in nephrology, dialysis, and renal medicine.
Follow hospital policies, clinical guidelines, and patient-safety standards.
