Mason (Skilled Trades)

Read and interpret basic construction drawings, plans, and measurements.

Lay bricks, concrete blocks, stones, and other masonry materials.

Prepare and apply cement, mortar, concrete, and other construction mixtures.

Construct and repair walls, foundations, floors, partitions, and other structures.

Measure, mark, level, and align masonry work accurately.

Perform plastering, pointing, grouting, and finishing work.

Cut and shape bricks, blocks, and other materials as required.

Inspect completed work for alignment, strength, quality, and finish.

Repair damaged masonry structures and perform maintenance work.

Operate hand tools and masonry equipment safely.

Coordinate with contractors, engineers, supervisors, and other construction workers.

Maintain tools, equipment, and the work area in good condition.

Follow construction specifications, quality requirements, and workplace safety procedures.

Use appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE).

Report material requirements, structural issues, and safety hazards to the supervisor.

Complete assigned work within project schedules
