Heavy Equipment Operator

Operate heavy equipment such as excavators, loaders, bulldozers, backhoes, graders, forklifts, and other machinery as assigned.

Perform excavation, grading, loading, leveling, digging, and material-moving activities.

Conduct daily pre-start inspections of equipment and report defects or safety concerns.

Operate machinery according to manufacturer instructions and site safety procedures.

Load, transport, and place materials safely and accurately.

Maintain proper awareness of workers, vehicles, utilities, and other hazards around the equipment.

Carry out basic equipment cleaning, lubrication, and routine maintenance.

Monitor fuel, oil, hydraulic fluids, and other operating levels.

Report equipment breakdowns, damage, or maintenance requirements to the supervisor.

Follow work plans, site instructions, traffic rules, and health and safety regulations.

Assist ground crew and other site personnel when required.

Maintain daily equipment-operation and work records.

Keep the work area clean and safe.

Perform other duties assigned by the supervisor.
