Fleet Maintenance Engineer

Job Description
Plan and coordinate preventive and corrective maintenance of the company fleet.
Monitor the condition and performance of vehicles, heavy equipment, and machinery.
Schedule regular servicing, inspections, and repairs.
Diagnose mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and other equipment-related problems.
Coordinate with technicians, mechanics, workshops, and external service providers.
Maintain accurate records of vehicle maintenance, repairs, spare parts, and service history.
Monitor maintenance costs and help control fleet operating expenses.
Ensure availability of critical spare parts, lubricants, tires, and maintenance materials.
Inspect repaired vehicles and equipment before returning them to service.
Monitor vehicle/equipment breakdowns and implement measures to reduce recurring failures.
Ensure maintenance activities comply with company safety procedures and applicable regulations.
Track preventive maintenance schedules and ensure services are completed on time.
Prepare maintenance reports, downtime reports, and fleet performance reports.
Support procurement and evaluation of spare parts, tools, and maintenance services.
Coordinate with fleet operations to minimize vehicle downtime and maintain availability.
Ensure workshops, tools, and maintenance areas are kept safe and organized.
Train or guide mechanics and operators on proper equipment care and maintenance practices.
Perform other duties assigned by management.
