
Boiler Operator

Job Description
Operate and monitor boilers, steam systems, and associated equipment.
Maintain proper boiler pressure, temperature, water level, and steam output.
Conduct routine inspections of boilers, valves, pumps, gauges, and safety devices.
Start up and shut down boiler systems according to established procedures.
Monitor fuel supply, combustion, water treatment, and boiler efficiency.
Perform basic troubleshooting and report mechanical or operational problems.
Carry out routine cleaning, lubrication, and minor maintenance activities.
Record operating parameters, fuel consumption, water levels, and maintenance activities.
Conduct regular safety checks and ensure boiler equipment operates within approved limits.
Respond promptly to alarms, abnormal conditions, and equipment emergencies.
Coordinate with maintenance and engineering teams for repairs and inspections.
Maintain adequate water treatment and chemical levels as required.
Follow workplace safety procedures, environmental regulations, and boiler operating standards.
Maintain accurate logbooks and operational records.
